Note: medication should be given based on your dogs size.

Small :  <25lbs (<11kg)
Medium: 25-60lbs (11kg-27kg)
Large: 60-100lbs (27kg-45.5 kg)
Giant: >100lbs (>45.5 kg)

A general dosage can be calculated based upon a number of mL or mg per Kg of weight. However, large dogs will metabolize medications more slowly than smaller dogs. A maximum dosage should not exceed the recommended human adult dosage on the package.

A rule of thumb:

Small dogs:  <1/2 the child?s dose
Medium dogs:       = the child?s dose
Large/Giant dogs: < or equal to the adult dosage

Although some human medications can be used for your dog, do NOT experiment. CONSULT YOUR VETERINARIAN.
